Greene, Johnson, and Moneysmith

Greene (2001) claimed that "research is often taught as a process of collecting information for its own sake. On the other hand, research can also be conceived as the discovery and purposeful use of information" (155).

So, how are you going to make your project purposeful?

Johnson and Moneysmith (2001) distinguish between research topics and research issues. You should work toward generating a research issue. J and M also discuss why researchers should have an audience in mind when working on your project.
